We defend felony and misdemeanor charges in Harris County and the surrounding counties, and across Texas. The stakes are not only incarceration and fines. They are the record, and what the record does to a person’s life long after the case ends.

The first forty-eight hours
Most of what determines the shape of a state case happens before the first setting. Bond, the terms of release, whether a complaining witness has given a second statement, whether the scene still exists in a form worth photographing, whether there is surveillance footage about to be overwritten — all of that is decided or lost in the first days.
We put an investigator on the ground early, preserve what is perishable, and interview the witnesses the police did not. In a meaningful number of cases, that work produces a result before the grand jury ever hears the matter.
Before charges are filed
If you know you are under investigation but have not been arrested, that is the best moment to have a lawyer, not the worst. A presentation to the district attorney’s office before an indictment — with the documents, the timeline, and the witnesses the investigating officer never gathered — is the quietest way a case ends.
