Confidentiality of what you send
Sending us a message through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship, and what you send may not be privileged. Until we have cleared conflicts and signed an engagement agreement, we may already represent someone adverse to you, and we cannot promise that what you send will be treated as confidential. Send only what you need to send to tell us what the matter is about.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are retained as long as needed to respond and to maintain our conflicts records, which is a professional obligation. Application materials are retained for a reasonable period after the position is filled. Technical logs are retained for a short period for security purposes.
Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. For anything sensitive, telephone us.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you from this website, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to our professional obligation to maintain conflicts records. Write to info@skjm.law. If your jurisdiction gives you additional rights over your personal information, tell us and we will honor them.
